Retail And Business > Prince50's Paratrooper Sight

My first sks and first rifle project

(1/1)

OEFvet1986:
I bought this yugo 59/66 for 150$ with alot of ammo, so i guess i got a good deal even though someone cut off the front sight. I re-blued a few parts of the rifle with the birchwood casey kit, cut then crowned the barrel and used prince50's paratrooper front sight. I had a problem with the front sight because once i tightened down the biggest screw it broke through the metal so i had to improvise and get a longer screw with washers and a nut on the end. In my opinion its better now the way i secured it than it was before, but i still have to paint the screw because it looks kinda out of place being bare stainless steel. Im going to go zero the rifle this weekend with my freshly aquired chi com ammo carrier.

Here are some pictures of my progress.....

Prince50:
SWEET!

I like the space in front of the barrel. Very much.

PM sent regarding the pulled out screw. I'll send a replacement. Let the little screws do the holding work, and do not torque the big screw so much.

Thanks for posting PICS
