I found a temporary replacement for the Yugo bayonet lug screw on Amazon. It is an M6-0.75 x 16mm socket head screw, but it is not suitable for the Chinese SKS.

The project aftermarket Choate Tool Inc. SKS stock, titled "Changing Stock Appearance," is complete. I purchased a nice US-made AK47 grip at the local gun show and attached it to the polymer stock. The stock is compatible with all buttstocks designed to connect via a Picatinny rail.

Any AR15-type buttstock can be easily added to this build.

I restored the Russian laminated stock to its factory condition; now it looks as new.

For future projects, I'm experimenting with an AK-47 front sight block and a shortened SKS barrel.

The worn and rusty Yugo barrel has been replaced with a Chinese chrome-lined SKS barrel. I'll test the hybrid Yugo-Chinese rifle at the shooting range shortly.

Here is a fully assembled SKS rifle featuring a modified aftermarket stock with a folding buttstock. The barrel will be threaded M14x1 LH for the muzzle brake.

After my unique modification, the AK-47 FSB is complete. The FSB block is compatible with barrels with a diameter of 14.25mm or less, or 9/16 inches. It is secured to the barrel with pins and two M4 set screws.

Another Yugo receiver is waiting for a quality barrel from China or Russia. I prefer to avoid Yugo barrels because they are not chrome-lined, and most have rusted and pitted bores and chambers.

To simplify the assembly and disassembly of the gas tube ferrule, I used an M3 set screw.

The project titled "Bayonet Conversion" has been completed. The Mosin Nagant bayonet with four blood grooves is now compatible with SKS rifles. The bayonet resembles the early 1949 Russian spike bayonet.

I've added another Yugo polymer buttstock to my Picatinny collection. A new folding adapter was created to facilitate this. The Yugo polymer buttstock is interchangeable with the wooden version, which I'm currently searching for.

The FSB is associated with the early Russian-style SKS bayonet. I likely need a Type 1 bayonet handle with a straight cut.
